Australian MSPs are increasingly expected to deliver Essential Eight assessments as part of their managed security offerings. Doing it consistently across dozens of clients is the hard part.
The challenge
Each client environment differs, different tooling, maturity levels, and compliance drivers. Without standardisation, every assessment becomes a custom project.
The approach
This MSP implemented three changes:
- Standard assessment templates: same evidence checklist regardless of client size
- Platform-based tracking: centralised maturity dashboards per client
- Tiered deliverables: baseline assessment for all clients, deep-dive for those pursuing government contracts
